Team Evesham Hill Rides and the TE Everesting Challenge (TEEC)

TEEC_v6.jpg
TEEC - the Team Evesham Everesting Challenge will return this spring for the vertically inclined among you...TEEC is a way to encourage our eager hill riders to keep that chin up and climb, climb, climb to their heart's content. Truly "himalayen" recognition, and some swag, awaits those who strive and succeed to summit.

How do you succeed at TEEC?
To defeat the challenge and Everest, you need to climb 29,000+ feet over the cycling season between through the conclusion of the challenge in the fall.

How the #*%& am I going to do that?
Excellent question. Team Evesham will host official TEEC/Hill Rides on several Saturdays a month throughout the season. These will will be scheduled on our Event Calendar on Saturdays, and sometimes on other days, and holidays. Our hill rides typically average from 2500-3000 feet, early season less, later season more in the 3500+ range. Success will depend on upwards of 12-15 rides if you do the math. These typically run from early spring through September/early October.

Are we insane? and.......so COOL - how will this work?

While it's arguable, no, I don't think we are crazy. The rules are 1) You must be a Team Evesham member, 2) only official TE Hill rides will be counted, 3) Hill rides have sign-ups posted with the ride details under Upcoming Rides on the website - you MUST sign up for your rides to be counted, 4)  "Feetage" will be accumulated and tracked over the year and based on Ride w/GPS information for each route. If adjustments are required, say everyone has a higher count than RwGPS reflects, or the ride is shortened for some reason, the ride leader will decide actual "feetage" for that day, and 5) our resident "goat" Mr. Wartenberg, will track the official goat tally and periodically post updates on progress on the website through the year.
